These are things that I have learned in my 20s, and of course, they don’t have to work for everyone, and they won’t but bear in mind that if you have goals you need to start somewhere, and here is another pretty useful tip: if you wait until you’re ready you might as well be waiting your whole life.
Wake up earlier
Start your day off before the sun rises, exercise, plan your day/week ahead.
Specially if you don’t have time to do it during the day. My 5 am routines have been working out so well for me since I use the time to work- be creative and focus. The fact that there is no one else awake makes it easier to focus and get sh%t done.
Believe it, achieve it-
Never, and I mean it, NEVER doubt your own potential, never let anyone make you feel less than you are, and if they do, leave the room.
You, and only you can stop yourself.
Have a dream? Make it come true.
Work hard, grind like there is no tomorrow, make a plan and make it happen.
You have all the tools in your hands to start, and the advantage that there is only one you out there. You are so unique and so badass. Just as you are.
Oh, and whilst you’re out there making it work, do it for yourself.
Travel, travel, travel-
There is no better school than the world. Travel but travel knowing you are not gonna be in luxurious places. Stay with locals, shop locally, learn a language or five, but do it.
Travel even when you don’t have enough money, when you’re scared of going solo. It turns out the world is not as scary as the media portrays it, or as your mum may think it is.
Have good intentions and the good will come.
Everything I learned about myself, I learned in the middle of nowhere, in a foreign country not speaking the language, with a backpack and almost no money.
People will help you, and whenever you can, pay it forward.
Chances are that a one month trip, can become a 5 year trip, and when you come back you don’t even recognize yourself anymore.
